Some months back, the Libraries pre-ordered a group of iPads for your tech lending program. They will be available for a look/see and four-hour checkout today in the space in front of the Circulation Desk. Staff and student volunteers will be on hand to demo the basics and let you start evaluating whether this latest platform is something you want to invest in for the future.

The first five we took out of the shipping boxes have gone to five students who’ve agreed (we didn’t have to twist arms all that much) to jump in and put them through the paces as they go to classes, do their work, and generally goof around the web over the next week.
