The Bridge Builders
Landscape architect Richard Bell has published a book entitled The Bridge Builders. The memoir moves from the immigration of Bell’s grandparents to his own childhood on the coast of North Carolina to his foreign travels as the youngest winner of the Prix de Rome and finally to his work as a landscape architect.
We are honored to have the Richard Bell among our grant collections. We’ve started the work of processing the collection. While I’m happy to report that nearly 300 tubes have been described and rolled onto acid-free cores and wrapped in acid-free paper, we still have a long way to go. But we look forward to the completion of this work so that we can share with you the work of this incredible artist.
Until then, check out his book.
