NanoKTN event focuses on ‘nano enhanced’ textiles

The Nanotechnology Knowledge Transfer Network (NanoKTN) has announced details of a workshop highlighting new developments applied to textiles using embedded electronics, ’smart’ materials and surface coatings technologies.

Once applied to textiles they can enable interactivity, functionality and protection.  The NanoKTN says it aims to highlight key developments and encourage commercialisation and uptake by end users. The workshop, for both nanotechnologists and product designers, aims to ease information exchange and collaboration by raising awareness of consumer and market needs.
